Freedom through systems

Let's engineer your ideal life

For those who want more

Most people drift into lives they never consciously chose.

  • They climb career ladders they don't care about.

  • They get into relationships that may not fit them.

  • They distract themselves with consumerism.

Something gets lost along the way - their sense of freedom. They stop feeling alive.

A better way

Freedom is the most intoxicating feeling in the world. When you quit the script and take control of your life, you'll be rewarded - every day becomes an adventure to look forward to.

But freedom is not something you stumble into accidentally. It has to be built - through systems and habits. That's the big irony - to become truly free, you must become more structured first.

That's what I help my clients do.

The two clients I work with

I.

The novice

  • You're stuck in a 9-to-5 and want to break free

  • You would like to work remotely, with the option of traveling the world

  • You want to be able to set your own hours

  • You want to spend your time on activities that excite you vs. executing somebody else's vision

  • You want less physical and mental clutter (minimalism)

  • You want to feel clarity

II.

The intermediate

  • You have already built a freedom business, but you don't feel as free as you should

  • You're trading time for money, instead of relying on systems

  • You are not making enough (yet) to stop worrying about money and enjoy life to the fullest

  • You would like to experiment with other types of freedom, like freedom in relationships

  • You want to stop hustling, and start enjoying

The process

I.

The plan

We define what your ideal, adventurous life would look like. What components need to be in place? We codify this in a "Your Freedom Goals" document.

II.

The tracker

We build a custom tracking spreadsheet, translating your freedom goals into daily actions — like doing deep work for your remote business or approaching attractive strangers.

III.

Daily feedback loops

You track your habits every night. I review them every night. I leave feedback, call out excuses, and ensure the momentum never breaks.

IV.

The live calls

During our weekly call, we look at the data: What is working, what is not working? And why? We adjust the strategy as needed.

Your coach

Hi, I am Niels. For most of my life, I've been fascinated by one question: How do you build a life that feels free?

Over the years, I explored that question from many different angles — entrepreneurship, minimalist living, world travel, alternative relationship models.

Through it all, I learned something important: Freedom is not about escaping structure — it's about consciously building the right structure. That is why systems, habits, and accountability play central roles in my coaching.

Real change doesn't happen through inspiration. It happens through consistent action and honest feedback. You need to continue working on your goals even when motivation disappears. This is where I come in.

I have been coaching people since 2007, first in martial arts and dating, later in sales, marketing, and lifestyle design. My coaching style is caring but direct. I genuinely want you to build an exciting, free life. But I will also challenge your excuses and blind spots.

Let's chat and see if we are a good fit! I'm looking forward to getting to know you.

FAQ

Why are you so big about personal freedom?

There are a lot of life coaches and performance coaches out there, ready to help you build a better life. And while meditating or writing to-do lists are great practices, by themselves, they won’t do much for you. They are somewhat scattered, cosmetic efforts. If you truly want to live differently, you need a more integrated approach. You need a north star. And that north star is personal freedom. By designing your life with freedom in mind, you will be forced to create your own path, beyond what society deems acceptable. It is a scary endeavor, but also an extremely rewarding one: To live freely is to feel more alive. Obviously, I am not the first one to arrive at this conclusion — think Thoreau, Nietzsche, Sartre, and (my favorite) Harry Browne. But they also all understood that to experience this exhilarating feeling, we need to put the work in first. We need to lay the groundwork for freedom. That’s what I help people do with my coaching. Together, we build the systems and behaviors that will allow you to escape.

You address different areas of life. Shouldn’t I better go with a specialist?

Life doesn’t happen in silos — and neither do the solutions. You might be struggling to build your freedom business when your real issue is sleep quality. You might fixate on results in the gym when you really want to have more sexual and romantic options. This is where a holistic approach wins — we look at the whole picture.

What happens between the weekly calls?

Every day, you log your progress in our shared habit tracker. Every day, I go in there and leave a short comment. By always having someone looking over your shoulder, you are much more likely to take action between coaching calls.

How detailed are your daily comments in the tracker?

They are short acknowledgements of what happened that day — what went well, and what didn’t. Think 2–4 sentences. The point of this exercise is daily accountability, not root cause analysis. That happens during the calls.

Why coaching instead of an online course?

Most people never finish the courses they buy. Also, you don’t need more information — all the information is out there for free. What you need is a sparring partner who’s done it, holds you to your promises, and helps you overcome suboptimal patterns. A course can’t provide that.

Can I cancel?

You pay weekly and can cancel or pause anytime. If you feel you’re not getting value or if life gets too busy, you can stop. I want you to stay because you’re seeing results, not because a contract says so.

What results can I expect?

Think of me as an athletic coach: I will push you to your limits and optimize your performance — but I can’t do your squats for you. If you’re ready to work hard, I’ll make sure that work isn't wasted. If you’re looking for a magic pill, I’m not the right coach for you.

I’m overwhelmed. Is now the right time to start?

Waiting for a "quieter period" is a trap — that time never comes. It’s like saying you need to get fit first before you can start playing a certain sport. Don’t fall for it. Start with imperfect conditions and experience more simplicity as you go.
